Rachel Latham

Consultant

“You can only control the controllables. Don’t worry about anything out of your own hands; those issues will figure themselves out. Put your time and effort into the things you can change.”

Rachael Latham is a sports broadcaster, TV presenter and public speaker. She swam for Great Britain for six years, winning World Championship silver and bronze, setting world records in 100m and 200m Butterfly, and 200m Individual Medley, as well as competing at the 2008 Beijing Paralympics. When injury prevented her from fulfilling her dream to compete at London 2012, she was undeterred. Turning her drive and ambition to presenting, she earned a place covering the games for Channel 4.

Complications at birth left Rachael with limited use of her left arm – a situation which has only renewed the focus and determination she puts into achieving her goals. She is inspired by working as part of a strong, dedicated team and sees The Ability People as a way to change attitudes, break down barriers and advocate for people who deserve to be showcased.

Rachel is one of our USA based consultants but also works in the UK, too.
